About KAJIADO COUNTY NATURAL RESOURCES NETWORK

Who We Are

Kajiado County Natural Resources Network is a membership-based network working in Kajiado County. We focus on conserving natural resources such as water, forests, soil, and local biodiversity. We consider the environment a core part of the community and overall landscape and acknowledge its interdependence with our community’s well-being and health. Since the natural environment plays a significant role in the health and welfare of the people, we take it upon ourselves to protect and conserve it through advocacy, education, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and participative management and improvement plans.

Our Mission

To foster partnership and advocate on conservation and improve quality of life through climate change adaptation and sustainable management of Natural resources within Kajiado County

Our Objectives

  • Objective I

    To create a platform on which the NETWORK member organizations can conduct joint Advocacy and Lobbying on Environment and Natural Resources matters

  • Objective II

    To capacity build and maximize the NETWORK member organizations’ of the dynamics and challenges of Environment and Natural Resources in Kajiado County.

  • Objective III

    To participate in development and implementation of policies on Environment and Natural resources at all levels of government

  • Objective IV

    To rehabilitate, restore and sustainable utilization and management of rangeland that are within the county for betterment of the livelihood of the people.
