Kajiado County is home to a diverse range of wildlife. KCNRN works hand in hand with the county government, the wildlife authorities, and the local communities in conserving nature and the environment. The network’s wildlife conservation activities include but are not limited to the mitigation of human-wildlife conflicts, fire mitigation efforts, and merging large expansive areas to allow for accessible migratory routes for wildlife.
Kajiado County also has a diverse ecosystem and unique culture. KCNRN supports the tourism sector in different ways, including active engagement with the local, county, and national governments for fair laws and policies that support the conservation of the environment and wildlife and sustainable tourism practices. KCNRN also hosts community-owned tourism enterprises that subscribe to the overall goal of conserving the region’s natural resources.
